Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

About the revolutionary Pillow of Health®

We understand this pillow is unlike anything you’ve ever seen or used before. We hope these frequently asked questions help better explain any uncertainties you may have.

HOW DOES THE PILLOW ADJUST FOR A MORE COMFORTABLE FIT?
Pillow of Health® is adjustable to the level of comfort and support you desire by allowing you to adjust the level of filling in the pillow. There is a zipper on the side providing access to the filling so you can adjust the level to your preferences. While we provide enough filling to create a firm pillow, you can purchase additional filling for a firmer fit or remove any filling you consider excess to create a softer feel.

CAN Pillow of Health® LESSEN MY ALLERGY SYMPTOMS?
Absolutely! Your nose is in direct contact with your pillow for hours each night. The main cause of allergies upon waking up is dust mites and their fecal matter, plus other toxins, in your pillow — after 12 months of use, 20-30% of your pillow could be simply toxins! The foam in Pillow of Health® is naturally resistant to mold, mildew, fungi, vermin, and dust mites due to its high density cell structure. It is antimicrobial, hypoallergenic, and most importantly, machine safe for washing and drying.

WHAT MATERIAL IS THE OUTSIDE OF THE PILLOW?
The outer liner is the most technologically advanced moisture-wicking fabric available today. It is specifically designed to draw heat and moisture away from the body to keep you cool and comfortable all night long. This fabric is approximately 40 times more breathable than a standard cotton pillow liner, which means it is also 40 times cooler than the average pillow.

WHAT’S INSIDE THE PILLOW?
Pillow of Health® contains a very unique blend of highly resilience foam and siliconized polyester cluster fiber fill used by the world’s leading medical device manufacturer. The polyester fibers are specifically used in hospital pillows for pressure relief and for ulcer prevention. There is also an inner liner solely used in hospitals for skin care treatments.

WHAT IS DIFFERENT ABOUT THIS FOAM?

The foam used in Pillow of Health® is known as high-resilience foam. It’s very different than conventional foams because it has a cell structure very much like the cells of a human body. They have a much greater ability to recover from compression, which leads to added support, comfort and durability. Pillow of Health® is moldable and extremely flexible, so it conforms to the position of your head for comfort. This foam retains its strength and memory much longer than traditional foam, showing no signs of hardening, softening or losing its shape during extensive endurance testing. It is also certified to be one of the healthiest foams available to the public, made without mercury, lead, formaldehyde and other toxic chemicals.

WHY DOES THE FOAM IN MY PILLOW TURN YELLOW?
High-resilience urethane foam will turn yellow with age due to natural oxidation of foam. It does not diminish the effectiveness or performance of the material in any way. The yellowing actually confirms the foam is high-quality and breathable.

SHOULD I USE A PILLOW CASE?
For best results, it is recommended that Pillow of Health® be used only with a PILLOW of HEALTH Pillowcase, or without a pillowcase if a PILLOW of HEALTH Pillowcase is not available to you. If you prefer to use a pillowcase not made by PILLOW of HEALTH,  it may take away some of the benefits of the pillow, such as the cooling and flexibility of the outer liner. The outer fabric of the pillow will inhibit stains and keep the pillow cleaner longer than cotton cases. Remember, the entire pillow is 100% machine-washable, so feel free to wash it as often as you feel necessary.
